This is a lullaby I wrote for my 6-year-old son when everything got shut down due to COVID-19. I think we lose sight of how scary this pandemic has been for kids, and one night it prompted him to ask about death. He got really upset and said he didn’t want to die because he had so many things he wanted to do in his life, like drive a power wheels.
If you listen closely during the guitar solo you can hear Emory and his older brother Ben fighting in the background. It’s one of the many happy accidents that took place on this EP.
